Nigerian singer, Emma Nyra has apologized for allegedly defending Hushpuppi and his arrest.
The singer who earlier made a statement saying that some people are happy that Hushpuppi was arrested because he was oppressing them financially and otherwise on social media. She added that rejoicing about his downfall is not going to put money in one’s pocket.
However, this statement did not sit well with a lot of fans as they called her out for defending his crimes.In a new tweet, Emma stated that she would never defend a fraudster and simply made that statement because she was tired of reading about it.
She then apologized if she had offended anyone as she never meant to do that. She wrote:
“I genuinely apologize if I offended anyone. I never meant to do that. I simply meant that I’m tired of reading about it. Justice will be served when it comes to his case and understand that I would never defend his actions at all. I actually never did”.
